When you’ve only been around for a year, every milestone counts. We took a step back to look at everything sunday achieved and all the updates we made with our restaurant partners in mind. Here’s to one year of sunday (and hopefully many more to come)!

I think we can agree, our first look was a little less sexy. We know how important it is to update, innovate and keep meeting your expectations. Today, we are miles away from where we started.
This wasn’t just a superficial facelift, but a design-revamp to drive impact and makes sunday even easier to use
On the menu:
A new dashboard for you and your team – same features, just a slick new design. Oh and a new tab that lets you see open tables in one click
A redesigned webapp – making payments with sunday even easier and supporting restaurant staff with higher tips. The new positioning around tips has seen them increase by 50% in select restaurants 🤑 In just one year, £4.2 millions have already been left in tips through sunday
Diners nowadays are complicated. Some people insist on forking out the full bill, other parties want to split it evenly – you never know what you’re going to get. With sunday, they’ve got the choice to split it how they want, with whomever they want, and you don’t have to deal with any of it!
Last winter, we launched “split by item” allowing customers to pay for just what they consumed. That person who got all the gold food – lobster bisque, porterhouse steak, 2 sides of fries, the cheese plate, chocolate mouse and 4 Martinis – should probably pay the consequences, quite literally.
All they need to do is tick the items they ordered without ever having to ask a waiter to do the calculations.
And from May onwards, splitting will be even more sophisticated – clients will be able to split a bottle of wine or snacks ordered for the table.

There’s an issue with table 4? Customers need help settling the bill? Payments aren’t going through for X, Y or Z? Your waiters will know in seconds!

⏲ Set times for your menus
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, happy hour, dinner, set menu, brunch… Does your menu offering change throughout the week? Are you offering 2-for-1 cocktails on Tuesdays?
Fear not. With sunday you can program menus to display on the webapp at certain times and on particular days
📥 Download receipts directly on your dashboard
Should you ever need, you can access your customers’ receipts in the “payment” tab. They will of course be able to download the receipt as PDF after paying or have it sent directly to their email
🔢 sunday promo codes
Who doesn’t love a good bargain? We are now able to generate promo codes to give to customers, fully funded by sunday! All they need to do is input the code in the payment section to redeem their discount. For the moment, this is only available in select restaurants.
