sunday launches sunday Online Reputation, to multiply Google ratings by 5
May 2023 - Launched two years ago, sunday, the fastest way to pay at restaurants using a QR code, is adding a new feature to its app dedicated to online reviews and customer feedback. With two-thirds of people* looking at online reviews before going to a restaurant and it being the number one reason for choosing a restaurant for those under 40, sunday allows all restaurateurs to improve their online reputation and manage it very simply.
While in the past, restaurant reputations were based on word of mouth, the reality is quite different today. Restaurants are now making their mark through stars, ratings, reviews, and recommendations online and on apps.
That’s why sunday is launching Reviews, a feature that simplifies the management of online reviews and customer feedback. Every customer who pays through sunday is directly invited to leave a review after payment.
Every customer who pays via sunday is directly invited to leave a rating out of 5 after payment. The interface simplifies online feedback and customer reviews as much as possible.
Once the rating has been left, the customer is invited to post it online with one click on the restaurant’s online review platforms.
Even if the customer doesn’t want to make it public, the rating is still sent to the restaurant owner, and they can even provide a comment explaining the reasons for their rating. The restaurant owner can therefore know exactly, and in just a few clicks, what their customers like (or dislike).
For restaurateurs, the solution allows them to centralize their reviews on a dashboard and manage them in just a few clicks: respond to comments, select pre-written response templates, and also know their average rating and its evolution.

“Online reviews and customer feedback have become absolutely key for restaurateurs; they have a significant impact on the number of people we attract to our establishment. Customer feedback allows us to constantly improve the experience we offer. The problem is that it takes time, and when you’re a restaurateur or head waiter, you don’t do this job to manage online reviews all day long, which is why we launched this new solution.” gets excited Victor Lugger, CEO of sunday.
Launched a few months ago, this new offer is already being rolled out at Au Bureau, which has seen its online reviews double. Gros Bao, received 5 times more reviews on Google, recording an average rating of 4.4 thanks to the 1,120 comments left each month. The same observation was made by Dépôt Legal, whose overall rating has increased by 0.3 points on Google in one month. Bouillon Pigalle as for him, he claims to receive 1000 reviews per month on Google, which is twice as many reviews since he started using reviews.
“With sunday Online Reputation, customers can leave a review directly after their meal. This allows us to increase our Google rating and receive real, honest, and instant feedback. 95% of 5-star reviews on Google come from sunday!” declares Lucia, director of the Depot Legal restaurant.
The sunday Online Reputation offer is the first value-added feature for restaurateurs, offered at the key checkout stage. Other new features will be announced very soon.
