Through this partnership, sunday will integrate the simple loyalty solution into its PDQ and QR code terminals, allowing restaurateurs to integrate an average of 30% of their customers into their loyalty program.

Hey Pongo is rolling out a tool that allows restaurateurs to simplify their marketing efforts, particularly their loyalty programs. This startup collects and qualifies customer data by leveraging consumers’ phone numbers. Specifically, upon making their first payment, the customer enters their phone number into the PDQ, which offers them the option to join the restaurant’s loyalty program, thereby entering the restaurateur’s customer base.
No more endless form scrolling, which customers hate, no more cards to stamp, no more last names to spell: when it’s time to pay the bill, the PDQ identifies the customer using their credit card and automatically credits their loyalty account each time they pass. There’s nothing for staff or customers to do; membership is easy and frictionless; as proof, already operational in Tripletta Italian restaurants, 45% of customers have adopted its loyalty program after just a few weeks of implementation.
The system works regardless of the customers’ payment method: CB, Visa, Apple Pay, Swile or American Express.
On the customer side, the program is then easily accessible: with each payment, they receive an SMS with a link to access their loyalty area: points, rewards, etc. A space available via a mini white-label site, personalized for each brand, etc.
The restaurant manager, meanwhile, can activate their customer database. After creating personalized segments based on their customers’ consumption habits, they can send personalized promotional text messages to encourage them to return to their establishment.
