Trivec and sunday launch HandyPay, the first device integrating both ordering and payment
July 8, 2024 - Trivec, a major player in POSes for restaurants, bars, and hotels, and sunday, the leader in restaurant payments, are partnering to offer a product that will simplify the lives of servers. HandyPay is Trivec's all-in-one solution that combines the features of an ordering pad and a payment terminal in a single device. With ordering and payment on the same pad, every server using Trivec will save dozens of trips back and forth per day.
More orders and less stress for staff
As an ordering pad, HandyPay improves the quality of service and allows orders to be sent directly to the kitchen or bar.
As a payment terminal, HandyPay simplifies bill settlement and allows customers to pay whenever they want.
Furthermore, the advantages are multiple:
To increase the number of orders: staff remain in the dining room and can take orders which are sent directly to the kitchen.
To collect payments faster, by offering the customer the option to pay immediately, avoiding staff having to go back and forth to the checkout to enter orders or retrieve payment terminals.
To increase revenue per table, through smoother service and better table rotation.
To improve service by allowing the first drinks to be served more quickly upon customers’ arrival.
To streamline the guest experience: HandyPay makes it easy to split a bill equally or on demand, based on guest preferences, and receipts and invoices are printed at the table or sent via email.
A solution that fits into the restaurant’s operations
This new product requires no organizational changes for restaurants and their teams. Restaurant owners don’t need to change banks or payment contracts. The terminals have a glass screen to reduce the risk of water damage.
HandyPay supports various payment methods: credit card, debit card, ApplePay, GooglePay, etc. Customers can opt for contactless payment by placing their card against the HandyPay terminal.
Finally, all HandyPay data is automatically transferred to the Trivec cash register, making it easy to close the service.
sunday, the obvious payment partner for Trivec
sunday, partnering with Trivec for over two years and providing payment solutions for thousands of restaurants in France, the UK, and the US, was the obvious choice when it came to choosing a payment partner. Specializing in the restaurant industry since its inception, sunday develops products that address the complexities of the restaurant industry and creates tools that make life easier for restaurateurs and servers (tips, cash register closing, receipts, etc.). With this partnership, Trivec and sunday aim to simplify the daily work of servers for good.
“Trivec’s HandyPay helps us improve our customer service because we can take orders and payments faster at the table. I’d say we’re saving about 20% on staff efficiency since we no longer have to spend time going back and forth to the POS system and fetching the payment terminal. I’m also seeing an increase in revenue per table.” rejoices Eric Lenfantin, director of the restaurant La Rhumerie.
A model to follow for catering
With sunday’s tools, Bouillon Pigalle proves that innovation and efficiency can revolutionize restaurant management. QR code payment, smart terminals, centralized review management: these are all solutions that have helped speed up service, increase customer satisfaction, and simplify the teams’ daily routines.
“Bouillon Pigalle has taken on a major challenge: transforming high traffic into a real performance driver. At sunday, we help every restaurateur maximize their potential with simple, impactful solutions and return to their core business—catering.“, says Kevin Meert, Chief Sales Officer at sunday.
